Last week's minutes

1. Welcome, Sign-in, Introductions 2. Purpose/Goal of the FRG * Any person who is of support to one of our soldiers can be in the FRG. This includes spouses, significant

others, friends, extended family members, employers, etc.

* The primary function of the FRG is to keep family members & friends of soldiers informed. Everything else is secondary.

* Everyone has equal status in the FRG and will be treated as equals. Military rank does not exist and is irrelevant in the FRG.

3. A Moment on GOSSIP Anyone can bring a quote or short item to share on this topic. Bring YOURS to the next meeting!

4. Phone Tree & Contact Roster * We have email addresses for 75% of our contacts! Let’s get that number to 90-95%! * We need more phone tree volunteers—3 for Augusta, 2 for Cherryvale, and 2 for Pittsburg. * On our next phone tree test we need to ask each contact if it is OK to include them & their information in a directory to share with the other FRG members. * The Assistant Leaders will take over their portion of the phone tree and will: Recruit volunteers for the phone tree as needed.

Assign contacts to each volunteer and ensure they each have their list of people to call. Call each of their volunteers when the phone tree is started. Answer questions from the volunteers. Compile the results into one report that will be sent to Anita Pack & Mary Vanatta.

 5. Newsletter * We now have a website! www.bchamberlin.tripod.com * Email digital photos from drill or FRG events to Betsy Chamberlin at nursegirl200454@yahoo.com.

* Let us know what you think of the website & newsletter! We would love to hear your ideas & suggestions!

6. Social Events * Each drill location—Augusta, Cherryvale, Pittsburg—will attempt to have a social event each month for the soldiers & families and can receive up to $30 to assist with the event. However, we will try to hold events that do not cost the FRG. * The $30 amount available is lost if not used—it does not roll over to the following month.
